FR. STU. - NO ONE IS BEYOND GOD'S MERCY

Publié : May-01-2022

I spoke today about Fr. Stuart Long, the priest who is the subject of the movie starring Mark Wahlberg called "Fr. Stu". Fr. Stuart Long is an example of a man who does not look at suffering as a curse, or as something horrible, but rather as a gift and a blessing. As Catholics, we are called to look at suffering in a different way from the way the way world looks at it. Let us always remember the words of St. Paul to the Colossians:

"I am now rejoicing in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am completing what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church" (Colossians 1:24).

Fr. Stu lived his suffering for Christ. Please listen to his testimony, recorded a few years before his death.   You can find it HERE.

I also mentioned today in my homily another video.   Fr. Stuart Long was a Knight of Columbus and this is a beautiful video of testimonies from a Bishop, fellow priests, fellow Knights of Columbus and his own father of who he was and is a reminder that no one is beyond the mercy of God.

You can find the Knights of Columbus Video HERE.
