Moira McQueen Wins Prestigious Award

We are excited to announce that the latest winner of the Christian Culture Gold Medal Award is Moira McQueen, executive director of the Canadian Catholic Bioethics Institute at the University of St. Michael’s College at the University of Toronto.

Assumption University, in Windsor, Ont., has been bestowing the Christian Culture Gold Medal Award since 1941. Previous award winners include people as diverse as Henry Ford II, Peter Drucker, Dorothy Day, Marshall McLuhan, John Noonan Jr., Jean Chretien, Rosalie Bertell, Charles Taylor, John Polanyi and Cardinal Marc Ouellet.

Moira McQueen will receive the award and deliver a special lecture on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 7 p.m. Assumption University will livestream the award ceremony and the lecture.

Moira McQueen has long been a friend and supporter of the Archdiocese of Toronto. We are thrilled that she is being recognized with this well-deserved distinction.
