The Sacrament of Penance is a great gift given to us by God. It helps us achieve peace and joy by being forgiven for the times we've damaged our relationship with God and with others.

During this Advent season, parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Toronto are hosting special days of confessions from December 15 to 21. You can learn more and find a parish near you by clicking here.

Advent is an excellent time to go to confession. Expressing contrition for our sins is a fitting way to prepare for the birth of Jesus, who died for our sins.

Catholics who have reached the age of reason are expected to confess at least once a year.

However, if you have not been to confession for many years, you are most welcome to join us. The Archdiocese of Toronto has information on how to go to confession, how to examine your conscience (available in eight languages) and other frequently asked questions.
